Biography
Tommy Rowe is a British sculpture who trained at The Bath Academy of Art. He was an assistant to Barbara Hepworth and worked at her studio learning how to carve marble and work with plaster casts. He was also a close friend of sculptor Denis Mitchell with whom he also worked until Denis’s death in 1993. From the 1960s Tommy Rowe started to exhibit his own work at The Penwith Gallery, St Ives and also the Marjorie Parr Gallery in London. He now lives and works in Scotland where he continues to produce sculpture in bronze, stone, metal and wood.
