Biography

A Swedish lighting company active from the 1960s through the 1980s, Bergboms were known for refined, modernist lamps that balance clean geometry with tactile materials. Founded by Efraim Ljung, the company collaborated with prolific designers such as Greta M. Grossman and Bernard Schottlander, producing table, floor, and wall lights in brass, teak, leather and lacquered metal, often with adjustable, human-scaled proportions. Elegant, understated silhouettes and high-quality craftsmanship make them staples for curated interiors, remaining sought-after for their timeless form and warm, ambient light.
